Trevor, a Wagga Wagga electrician- trained boy, left home to roam the world. After more than 35 years , having travelled to far ends of the world, his heart remained dear with Australia. Shirley, a Singaporean kampong girl, was a high school teacher, who knew that a concrete jungle was her jail. Part of the retirement plan was a home in Victoria Australia. From Mount Beauty to Bright to Gippsland to Mitta Mitta to Mugegonga and finally Wooragee, Trevor and Shirley evolved in their journey and they are ready to learn to be farmers. We are thankful every day for this precious haven especially the people we meet in the community, to which we want to contribute to.
After searching 3 years for a home that would tick all the boxes, in 2017, we saw the farm up for sales online while both of us were busy at work in Singapore. After looking at the property on google map and having our dear friends Trevor and Desiree to survey the land/house, we put our deposit down without even bargaining. Since Nov 2017, Emmasprings has been a work-in-progress and will continue to be.
Our visitors are asked to leave pets at home when making a trip to the farm - our chicken and cattle are very shy.
No-smoking in the retreat is appreciated. You are welcome to take a puff in the garden.
Green waste will go into the compost bin, recycleable into yellow bin while waste will go into red bin.
